MY STORY
Hello! I am Ginny Veneklase, the creator of Inspired in the Woods. I am a freelance artist, creative guru, earth lover and mother of a beautiful creative little girl. Inspired in the woods started as a way to weave art and the importance of our relationship with the earth together in a therapeutic way. I believe the root our healing comes from understanding our symbiotic relationship with the earth as well as bringing forth and healing the traumas we've experienced in our lives. Art can be used as a therapy and meditation.
Prior to opening Inspired in the woods I lead After School art at Artworks in Big Rapids as well as summer camps also offered by Artworks between 2017-2020. I taught wine and canvases for a year for other companies before opening my own business. I would love to open our woods to anyone that wants to get out in the wild and get inspired whether it be on a nature walk or for an art retreat. Currently, I offer painting classes, and wire wrapping classes. These can be held at your private residence, or right here in the woods. Aside from painting, Inspired in the woods produces wire wrapped jewelry made from crystals and rocks found out in nature. Currently, you can find collections at The Healing Center of Lakeview and Artworks in Big Rapids.
